Okotoks, Alberta · Family owned
A friendly, modern salon led by Wendy Shingoose, who has been doing hair since 1974. Colour, cuts, perms, extensions, barbering and hot shaves, all under one bright roof.
What we do
Removing black and dark box dye, fixing colour that went sideways, and getting you back to where you want to be.
Transitions to salt-and-pepper, silver or white, planned so the in-between looks intentional.
Foils, balayage-style blends and blonde transformations that grow out softly.
Rainbow and brightly coloured looks for when you want to turn heads.
Women's cuts and a great blow-dry finish, plus perms by someone who has done them for decades.
Wedding and event hair, and extensions for length and fullness.
Men's cuts, fades and classic hot-towel shaves.
Prices vary by length, time and stylist.

Wendy's Hairitage
Wendy started in hair in 1974 and graduated hair school at 18. Her first salon was a single rented chair inside a Black Diamond barbershop.
When her kids came along she moved the business to Okotoks, off the winter highway. Misty came to work at four months old, held by clients while Wendy did their hair. By five she was standing on a milk crate washing hair, paid in candy.
Today, Wendy is doing the hair of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of some of her very first clients.

Some came through our doors for hair. Some through business. Some worked beside us, and some grew up with us. This series tells their stories, starting with Adele, who has been welcoming newcomers to Okotoks for more than 30 years.
